Colonial II Residential – Geothermal

Striving to achieve net-zero carbon and net-zero energy usage, a closed-loop geothermal system is adjacent to Colonial II Residential, a senior housing facility. The geothermal field encompasses thirty-four 500-foot-deep geothermal wells that connect to individual ground source heat pumps in the building. In an effort to minimize disturbance to the green space around the building, the well field is beneath a site-mounted solar array.
