PROJECT DETAILS

  • Decarbonization
  • Energy Master Plan

Currently, our team is providing energy master planning and design services to develop a road map for decarbonizing the university’s 95-acre urban campus with a phased approach and work towards achieving a “Net-zero” campus.

The BC Energy team has gained an understanding of WPI’s strategic objectives and examined WPI’s current and imminent technologies. To meet the Institute’s goals of reducing its carbon footprint, our team explored various renewable technologies including geo-exchange; solar PV; air- and water-source heat pumps; combined heat and power; battery energy storage; and HVAC energy conservation measures.

Ultimately, we are developing an energy master plan and timeline that meet the Institute’s goals and is consistent with their long-term financial and capital outlay plans.
