History

Cogen Power Technologies Rebrands as BC Energy

We changed our name to shift our focus from a cogeneration-only specialty to an expanded menu of critical energy and utility infrastructure services and to reinforce our connection to our parent company, Bette & Cring, an ENR Top 400 Contractor and one of upstate New York’s largest construction companies.

For over two decades, Cogen Power Technologies and Bette & Cring managed and constructed a great number of energy and utility projects within the healthcare, higher education, and manufacturing industries. Their signature projects include Penn State Health’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center CHP plant, Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Decarbonization Master Plan, and Burrstone Energy Center Microgrid.

As the newest division of Bette & Cring, BC Energy has in-house construction management expertise and is able to deliver a true single-source energy solution, from planning to advisory to completion to operations.
