BC Energy and CHA Consulting, Inc. successfully installed a direct transfer trip scheme into Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center‘s on-site generation system.

Metering relays, an RTAC (real-time automation controller), as well as control and communication cabling were successfully installed and tested offline. Final testing with the utility is pending.

Fun fact: over 4,500 feet of control cable was installed inside of a single cabinet!

In 2019, our team developed, designed, and built Hershey Medical Center’s 8 MW cogeneration plant. This year, the hospital added additional on-site generation that required DTT. BC Energy and CHA Consulting were appointed to design and implement a DTT scheme.
