In 2019, Penn State’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center delegated BC Energy to oversee its plant operation of its 8-Megawatt CHP Plant. Within a three-month service contract, BC Energy strived to maximize the run-time of the plant and prepare the operations staff for future success.

BC Energy staff worked directly with the plant operations staff and management on all aspects of operation, including daily rounds and checks, developing preventative maintenance programs, assisting with managing all service contracts and maintenance shutdowns, developing standard operating procedures, monitoring CHP performance, as well as providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting assistance in the event of an unexpected outage.
